CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jessica Twaddle, 1B, Sr., 5-6, Franklin, Tenn. - Murray State
Twaddle tallied at least one hit in each game last week and had multiple hits in three of the four games as Murray State went 3-1. She tied a career-high by going 4-for-4 in game one against UTM and in game two had a home run.  Against Southeast Missouri, Twaddle went 5-for-9 in the doubleheader sweep. She recorded a .647 on-base percentage and a .875 slugging percentage.
 
Sarah Lopesilvero, SS, Sr., 5-5, Simpsonville, Ky. - SIUE
Lopesilvero hit .412 with three runs, two doubles, two home runs and eight RBI.  She hit a two-run homer in the win at Morehead State. She also hit a three-run shot against Bradley. She notched two hits and two RBI in the opener at Eastern Kentucky. She added an RBI in the extra-inning win over EKU.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
Haley Chambers-Book, LHP, R-Sr., 5-7, Coatesville, Ind. - SIUE
Chambers-Book tossed three shutouts and picked up a win in relief last week. She did not give up a run in 21.0 innings of work. Against Bradley, she recorded a three-hit shutout. She threw just 85 pitches in a seven-inning, two-hit shutout at Eastern Kentucky. She entered game two against EKU and threw two shutout innings. Chambers-Book blanked Morehead State on four hits in seven innings. For the week, she struck out 24 and walked just two.

2017 OVC Softball Team Notes
AUSTIN PEAY (14-24 overall, 2-8 OVC): Austin Peay spilt a doubleheader with Evansville before dropping twinbills to Southeast Missouri and UT Martin. The Governors hit a home run in the second game against the Skyhawks to give them a new single-season high of 37. With her three RBI last week, sophomore Danielle Liermann became only the fifth player in APSU history to have at least two 30-plus RBI season in their career. Austin Peay host Middle Tennessee on Tuesday before traveling to Jacksonville State on Friday.
 
BELMONT (28-12 overall, 4-6 OVC): Belmont defeated Middle Tennessee, spilt a doubleheader with Tennessee Tech and dropped a pair to Jacksonville State.  Senior Amy Zeronian hit .429 with one run, one triple and three RBI. It was the first triple of her career and it gave the Bruins 28 triples for the year for the first time since 1996. Freshman Brooklin Lee became just the sixth pitcher in program history to record 100 strikeouts in a single season after tallying eight in the win over MTSU. She went 2-1 on the week with a 1.94 ERA, two complete games, one shutout and 19 strikeouts in 21.2 innings of action.  Belmont will travel to Morehead State for a doubleheader on Friday.
 
EASTERN ILLINOIS (22-16 overall, 8-2 OVC):  Eastern Illinois took two from Morehead State before splitting a doubleheader with Eastern Kentucky. Junior Taylor Monahan recorded a hit in every game last week. She hit .417 over the four games with two runs and two RBI. She also went 4-for-5 in stolen base attempts. Junior Jessica Wireman went 2-0 with one save. She recorded a 0.88 ERA with 27 strikeouts in 16.0 innings. In the opening game against Eastern Kentucky, she struck out 11 for her sixth win in a row. The Panthers will travel to Butler on Tuesday before returning home to host UT Martin on Friday.
 
EASTERN KENTUCKY (15-22 overall, 4-5 OVC): Eastern Kentucky fell to No. 19 Tennessee, dropped a pair to SIUE and split a doubleheader with Eastern Illinois. Sophomore Hannah Clark hit .462 over the five games with two home runs and five RBI. She also recorded two doubles and scored three runs. In the second game against SIUE, she went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Her second home run of the week came in the opener versus Eastern Illinois.  The Colonels travel Dayton on Wednesday and Tennessee State on Friday.
 
JACKSONVILLE STATE (30-9 overall, 9-1 OVC): Jacksonville State defeated UAB before taking a pair from Belmont and Tennessee State last week. Senior Stephanie Lewis had multiple hits in four of the five games last week. She hit .476 last week with four runs, two doubles, one triple and 4 RBI. She also tallied two stolen bases. Lewis notched three hits against UAB and Tennessee State. Senior Taylor West tossed her first-career no hitter in the nightcap versus TSU.  She struck out 12 of the 16 batters she faced versus TSU. For the week, West went 2-0 with a save. She notched a 0.40 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 17.1 innings of work. Jacksonville State will host Austin Peay on Friday.
 
MOREHEAD STATE (20-16 overall, 3-7 OVC):  Morehead State went 1-5 at home last week with a split against Northern Kentucky and losses to Eastern Illinois and SIUE. The have now lost a season-high five straight games. The Eagles will remain at home to host Wright State on Tuesday and Belmont on Friday.
 
MURRAY STATE (28-13 overall, 5-4 OVC): Murray State split a doubleheader with UT Martin and took a pair from Southeast Missouri. Senior Jessica Twaddle recorded a hit in each game and notched multiple hits in three of the four. She tied a career-high by going 4-for-4 in the first game against the Skyhawks. In the doubleheader sweep of the Skyhawks, Twaddle went 5-for-9. For the week, she hit .625 with four runs, one double, one home run and four RBI. Murray State will host Tennessee Tech on Friday.
 
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI (17-18 overall, 2-8 OVC): Southeast Missouri swept a doubleheader with Austin Peay and dropped a pair to Murray State last week. Senior Mackenzie Hoelting threw a complete game no-hitter in the finale against APSU. It was the first no-hitter of her career and the first of the season for Southeast Missouri. For the week, Hoelting notched a 2.10 ERA with seven strikeouts in 10.0 innings of work. Southeast Missouri with host Southern Illinois on Wednesday before traveling to SIUE on Friday.
 
SIUE (32-7 overall, 8-2 OVC): SIUE went 5-0 last week with wins over Bradley, Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State last week. Senior Sarah Lopesilvero hit .412 over the five games with three runs, two doubles, double home runs and eight RBI. Senior Haley Chambers-Book went 4-0 in the circle last week. She has now won her last nine decisions. She did not give up an earned run over 21.0 innings of work and struck out 24. Aylssa Heren leads the team with 21 stolen bases, which is the highest total by a Cougar since 2011. SIUE is now 32-7 overall, making the 21st time that head coach Sandy Montgomery has reached the 30-win mark in a season. The Cougars will travel to Illinois on Wednesday before returning home to host Southeast Missouri on Friday.
 
TENNESSEE STATE (9-25 overall, 1-9 OVC): Tennessee State dropped a pair of doubleheaders to Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State last week. Tennessee State swiped 57 bases which is the third best in program history. The Tigers will step out conference play for a doubleheader at No. 17 Tennessee on Tuesday before hosting Eastern Kentucky on Friday.
 
TENNESSEE TECH (13-22 overall, 6-4 OVC): Tennessee Tech swept a doubleheader with Tennessee State and split a pair with Belmont last week. Junior Bayli Cruse hit .571 with four runs, two doubles and five RBI. Senior Danielle Liberatore shutout Tennessee State in the first game, allowing just two hits and striking out 11. For the week, she gave up just one earned run and struck out 22 in 14.0 innings of work. The Golden Eagles will travel to Murray State on Friday.
 
UT MARTIN (28-12 overall, 7-3 OVC): UT Martin dropped a pair to Memphis, split a doubleheader with Murray State and swept Austin Peay last week. The Skyhawks set a new program single-game record with 10 stolen bases against Austin Peay, finishing with 15 in the doubleheader. UT Martin has 122 stolen bases on the year which is just three short of the program record. Senior Carly Gonzales tallied eight hits on the week and is currently riding a nine-game hitting streak. She finished the week with seven runs scored, one double, one RBI and six stolen bases. Senior Brooke Kennedy moved into fourth place on the program's all-time win list as she went 2-1 last week. She recorded a 1.75 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 20 innings of work. The Skyhawks will travel to Evansville on Tuesday and Eastern Illinois on Friday.
