NASHVILLE (AP) - John Murry hit a 3-pointer and Josh Robinson made five free throws in the final 24 seconds to give Austin Peay a 74-73 victory over Tennessee State on Thursday night in an Ohio Valley Conference quarterfinal.
Eighth-seeded Austin Peay (16-17) moves on to face top-seeded Belmont on Friday.
Josh Robinson scored 17 points to lead the Governors. Chris Horton had 15 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, and Murry finished with seven points.
Wayne Martin had 15 points and 13 rebounds for No. 4 seed Tennessee State (20-10). Keron Deshields and Tahjere McCall scored 16 points apiece.
The Governors took the lead for good, 69-67, on Murry's 3. The Tigers committed a turnover on their next possession, and Murry then made 5 of 6 from the line to seal it.
Austin Peay is playing in their first conference tournament since losing in the opening round to Jacksonville State in 2012.

NASHVILLE (AP) - Anthony Elechi scored 17, on 6-of-8 shooting, with nine rebounds, and Lyonell Gaines had 15 points and 10 boards to help No. 3 seed Morehead State beat sixth-seeded Murray State 75-66 in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Valley Conference tournament Thursday night.
Xavier Moon added 16 points for Morehead State, which will face No. 2 seed Tennessee-Martin (18-13) in the semifinals Friday.
Murray State (17-14) got 16 first-half points from Bryce Jones to take a 36-29 lead into the break, but shot just 34.6 percent from the field, including 2 of 11 (18.2 percent) from 3-point range, after halftime.
Morehead State (19-11) hit 14 of 28 shots, 15 of 19 free throws and converted 10 offensive rebounds into 12 second-chance points in the final 20 minutes to take control and pull away.
Jones finished with 23 points and six assists for Murray State. Jeffery Moss scored 21, including five 3s.
