SIUE 3, AUSTIN PEAY 1
MURRAY, Ky. -
Second-seeded SIUE defeated No. 3 Austin Peay in four sets (25-23, 25-22, 23-25, 27-25) to advance to the finals of the 2016 OVC Volleyball Championship.

Emily Harrison paced the Cougars with 15 kills while Taylor Held added 13 in the win. Jackie Scott notched a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs. Samantha Knight dished out a team-high 27 assists while Mallory Mangun added 25 assists.  Katie Shashack recorded a match-high 20 digs.

Four Governors reached double-digit kills with Logan Carger leading the way with 13 kills. Ashley Slay recorded 12 kills to go with 10 digs. Christina White and Kaitlyn Teeter added 11 kills apiece. Ginny Gerig recorded a match-high 20 digs.

MURRAY STATE 3, EASTERN KENTUCKY 1
MURRAY, Ky.
- Top-seeded Murray State defeated No. 5 Eastern Kentucky in four sets (25-13, 25-21, 22-25, 25-22) to advance to the finals of the 2016 OVC Volleyball Championship.

The Racers will face No. 2 SIUE on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT.

Scottie Ingram led Murray State with a match-high 20 kills to go with 19 digs. Kristen Besselsen also recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 20 digs.  Hannah Stultz led all players with 49 assists while also recording 10 digs. Ellie Lorenz added 16 digs in the win.

Eastern Kentucky's Cassie Knutson registered a double-double with 16 kills and 15 digs. Celina Sanks also reached double-digits in kills with 10. Rachel Woody dished out 35 assists to go with 10 digs in the match while Mallory Maxwell recorded 21 digs.
