EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Tennessee Tech defeated SIUE, 3-2, to win the 2015 OVC Softball Championship. The Golden Eagles won the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Tech will find out its opponent during the selection show on Sunday at 9 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
Sabrie Neebs led the Golden Eagles going 2-for-4 with a home run. Danielle Liberatore got the win as she struck out nine batters.
SIUE's Allyson Smiley had a team-high two hits in game. Baylee Douglass took the loss for the Cougars.

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - SIUE defeated Jacksonville State, 8-0, to advance to play Murray State today at 12:30 p.m.
Haley Chambers gave up just two hits and struck out five to pick up her 25th win of the year. The Cougars' Alex McDavid hit her nine home run of the season and fourth of the tournament. She finished the game with 2-for-2 with four RBI. Rebecca Gray and Tess Ebby each had a pair of hits in the game.
Sara Borders and Emily Woodruff recorded both of Jacksonville State's hits. Talyor West as tagged with the loss.
SIUE 2, MURRAY STATE 1
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - SIUE defeated Murray State, 2-1, to adavance to the championship game against Tennessee Tech later tonight.
The Cougars were led by Alex McDavid as she had a pair of hits and a RBI. Baylee Douglass relieved Haley Chambers to pick up her 17th win of the season. Douglass struck out a pair of batters while Chambers fanned four.
Alexa Becker paced Murray State, going 2-for-4 with a run scored. CheyAnne Gaskey was tagged with the loss.
