TENNESSEE TECH 6, JACKSONVILLE STATE 3
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. -
After 21 hour and 21 minute rain delay, Tennessee Tech came back to defeat Jacksonville State, 6-3. The Goldne Eagles will face the winner of the Eastern Illinois Eastern Kentucky game today at 3:30 p.m. CT. The Gamecocks finish the season with a 40-15 overall mark.

Jacksonville State jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first as Ella Denes hit her ninth home run of the season. The Gamecocks added a pair of runs in the top of the fifth to make it 3-0.

With two outs in the top of the 6th, the game was delayed due to rain. After a lengthly rain delay, the Golden Eagles scored six runs in the bottom of the 6th. Cortney Fry hit a two-run shots for Tech while Angie Sakamota blasted a three-run  home run in the inning.

Denes and Taylor Sloan each had two hits for Jacksonville State.

Tennessee Tech's Danielle Libertatore picked  up her 15th win of the season, striking out 10 in 7.0 innings of work.

JSU's Tiffany Harbin came on in relief and was tagged with the loss.
