PADUCAH, Ky. - Jacksonville State defeated Belmont, 4-1, to advance to the championship match of the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Tennis Tournament. The Gamecocks will play Eastern Kentucky tomorrow at 10 a.m. CT.
The Bruins picked up the doubles point as they earned wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. At No. 2 doublees, Catherine Holliday and Natalia Nunes defeated Oliva Nguyen and Aleksandra Cilikic. Carolyn Caire and Fabiana Mersan defeated Zoe Bizinos and Danielle Kerindi at No. 3 doubles.
The Gamecocks took the No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 singles to win the match. Raisia Guasti defeated Nikki Maciel, 6-0, 6-0, at the No. 1 spots while Raphaela Lima topped Catherine Holliday, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. At the No. 3 spots, Olivia Nguyen beat Carolyn Caire, 6-2, 6-2 and Zoe Bizinos earned the win over Fabiana Mersan, 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 4 spots.

EKU picked up the doubles point as they earned wins at the No. 2 and No. 2 spots. At No. 2 doubles, Saioa Oscoz and Milena Poffo defeated Sephora Boulbahaiem and Hannah Kimbrough while Amandine Faouzi and Carmen Rodriguez beat Ali Foster and Kristen Laird.
The Colonels recorded wins at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 singles to seal the match. At the No. 1 spots, Amandine Faouzi defeated Janelle Prisner, 6-2, 6-3 while Kristina Labeja beat Sephora Boulbahaiem, 6-2, 7-5. Melllissa Gerritsen picked up the win over Ali Foster, 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 spot.
