PADUCAH, Ky. - Fifth seeded Belmont defeated No. 4 Jacksonville State to advance to the semifinals of the 2013 Ohio Valley Confernece Tennis Championship. The Bruins will play Tennessee Tech tomorrow at 2 p.m. CT.
The Bruins picked up the doubles point winning the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. Renato Antun and Henrique Norbiato defeated Axel Sunberg and Nendad Marcec at the No. 1 spots while Bruno Silva and Henrik Claesson picked up the victory over Felipe Diaz and Felipe Watanabe at the No. 3 position
Belmont earned victories at the No. 1, 2 and 4 singles to seal the match. Antun defeated Igor Santos, 7-5, 7-5 at No. 1 while Norbiato picked up the win over Axel Sundberg, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2. Silva earned the victory at No. 4 defeating Felipe Diaz, 6-1, 6-4

PADUCAH, Ky. - Third-seeded Eastern Kentucky defeated No. 6 Morehead State to advance to the semifinals of the 2013 Ohio Conference Tennis Tournament. The Colonels will play No. 2 seed Austin Peay tomorrow at 2 p.m. CT.
Morehead State earned the doubles points with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. David Clifford and Kein Deligny defeated Alejandro Alvaro and Jan Dombrowski at the No. 2 spot while Nathan Martin and Hugo Almonte beat Daridge Saidi and Joao Maio.
The Colonels recorded victories at the No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 singles to take the match. Juanjo de le Llera defeated Nathan Martin, 7-5, 6-2, at the No. 2 spots while Alejandro Alvaro beat Giovanni Samaha, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 3 singles. At the No. 4 spot, Lucas Smets earned the win over David Clifford, 6-0, 6-4 and Joao Maio defeated Nick Mercer, 6-4, 6-7, 7-6, at the No. 5 position.
