Ellie Roberson, RSH, Sr., 6'2, Louisville, Ky. - Morehead State
Roberson tallied 23 kills and hit a team-best .333 as the Eagles clinched the OVC regular-season title with a win at Tennessee State. She followed that up to record 19 kills while again leading the team with a .405 attack percentage in the win over Belmont. Roberson, who leads the league in kills, hit .365 for the weekend, only making 11 errors on 85 swings.

Bradbury dished out 163 assist last week, including a new career-high with 58 at home versus IUPUI. She earned her fifth assist-dig double-double of the season with 12 digs against the Jaguars. She helped the Panthers hit .260 over the three matches, including a team-best .277 clip in the road win at Jacksonville State. She recorded 50-plus assists in all three matches.

2012 Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Team Notes
Austin Peay (9-5 OVC; 16-14 overall): Austin Peay defeated UT Martin (25-19, 25-20, 25-12) and Southeast Missouri (19-25, 20-25, 25-23, 27-25, 15-7). The Lady Govs improved to 5-2 in five set matches with their win over the Redhawks. Junior Lauren Henderson led the Lady Govs with 13 kills in the win over UT Martin, recording a career-best .545 attack percentage and adding five blocks. She followed that with a 14-kill, .333 attack percentage effort in the win over Southeast Missouri. Senior Nikki Doyle's 19-kill effort pushed her to 404 kills this season, becoming the first APSU players to record three 400-kill seasons during their career and her 1,247 career kills ranks fifth all-time at APSU. Senior Alex Sain recorded career-highs in both kills (18) and digs (25) against Southeast Missouri. Sophomore Cami Fields dished out 25 assists against UT Martin and followed that up with a career-best 64 assists against Southeast Missouri, adding a career-best four blocks and 14 digs. Austin Peay will close out the regular-season at home against Murray State on Tuesday and Morehead State on Saturday.
Belmont (9-5 OVC; 13-15 overall): Belmont split a pair of home matches last weekend, defeating Eastern Kentucky (25-15, 27-25, 18-25, 25-20) and falling to Morehead State (25-23, 14-25, 16-25, 18-25). The loss to Morehead State snapped the Bruins five-match win streak at home. Junior Allison McCoy recorded a .378 hitting percentage with 18 kills and a pair of blocks over the two matches. She made just four errors on 37 swings. Belmont will close out regular season this week as it travels to Tennessee State on Tuesday and Eastern Illinois on Friday. Eastern Illinois (7-7 OVC; 10-19 overall): Eastern Illinois fell to non-conference foe IUPUI (23-25, 25-20, 12-25, 27-29) before defeating Jacksonville State (25-20, 25-28, 23-25, 25-18) and Tennessee Tech (25-23, 19-25, 25-19, 25-20). Eastern Illinois has won seven of its last nine OVC matches. Junior Reynae Hutchinson recorded three double-doubles last week. She tallied 49 kills and 44 digs over the three matches. In the win over Tennessee State, Hutchinson recorded 20 kills and a .333 attack percentage. Freshman Marah Bradbury dished out 163 assists over the three matches, including 58 versus IUPUI to go with 12 digs. Eastern Illinois will close out the regular-season at home with SIUE on Wednesday and Belmont on Friday. Both matches can be seen on the OVC Digital Network.
Eastern Kentucky (5-9 OVC; 9-17 overall): Eastern Kentucky defeated non-conference foe Wright State (25-15, 25-16, 25-21) before falling to Belmont (15-25, 25-27, 25-18, 20-25) and Tennessee State (13-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 6-15). In the win over Wright State, Alexis Plagens and Ashley Edmond led the offense with 14 kills and nine kills, respectively. Edmond had 13 kills versus Belmont and followed that up with a 16-kill, 13-dig performance versus TSU. Sophomore Dena Ott recorded 6.92 digs per set last week. She had a match-high 29 digs versus Wright State and again led all players with 35 digs at Belmont. She finished the week with a match-best 19 digs against Tennessee State. Eastern Kentucky wraps up the regular-season this week on the road as it travels to Morehead State on Tuesday and Murray State on Saturday. Jacksonville State (6-8 OVC; 12-16 overall): Jacksonville State dropped a pair of matches last week, falling to Eastern Illinois (20-25, 18-25, 25-23, 18-25) and SIUE (25-23, 19-25, 23-25, 22-25). Nicole Merget led the offense with 25 kills over the two matches while Kelsey Anderson paced the defense with 47 digs. Jacksonville State will host Tennessee Tech on Tuesday before traveling to UT Martin on Saturday. The match with Tech can be seen on the OVC Digital Network.
Morehead State (14-0 OVC; 22-6 overall): Morehead State ran the nation's longest winning streak to 20 matches and clinched its third straight OVC regular-season title with wins over Tennessee State (25-13, 18-25, 25-20, 26-24) and Belmont (23-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-18). The Eagles are tied with top-ranked Stanford and No. 19 Western Kentucky at 20 straight wins. Senior Ellie Roberson recorded a team-best 42 kills and hit .365 over the two matches. She had 23 kills at Tennessee State. Senior Annie Gruenschlaeger led the team with a season-high 20 kills at Belmont. Junior Leslie Schellhaas tallied 47 digs and reached the 20-dig mark for the 12th and 13th times this season. Morehead State head coach Jaime Gordon is just three victories short of 200 in his 10 years leading the Eagle program. Morehead State will close out the regular-season hosting Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday and traveling to Austin Peay on Saturday. Murray State (3-11 OVC; 5-19 overall): Murray State fell to Southeast Missouri (22-25, 25-23, 20-25, 22-25) before defeating UT Martin (25-21, 23-25, 25-11, 25-20). Senior Wendi Zickfield recorded back-to-back double-doubles last week. She recorded 16 kills and 17 digs versus Southeast Missouri and followed that up with 11 kills and 13 digs against UT Martin. Senior Lydia Orf tallied a career-high 25 digs and became the 14th Racer to join the 1,000-dig club. She also had a team-high 19 digs against UT Martin. Murray State will close out the regular-season this week as they travel to Murray State on Tuesday and host Eastern Kentucky on Saturday.
Southeast Missouri (10-4 OVC; 18-12 overall): Southeast Missouri defeated Murray State (25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20) and fell to Austin Peay (25-19, 25-20, 23-25, 25-27, 7-15) last week. Junior Emily Coon tied the school record with 12 total blocks versus Murray State She finished the week with 37 kills and 18 blocks. Coon recorded a career-high 21 kills against Austin Peay. Junior Julie Shives dished out 92 assists over the two matches, helping the Redhawks hit .208 on the week. Southeast Missouri closes out the regular-season on the road as it travels to UT Martin on Tuesday and Tennessee Tech on Saturday. The match with Tech can be seen on the OVC Digital Network.
SIUE (5-9 OVC; 9-16 overall): SIUE fell to Tennessee Tech (23-25, 26-24, 27-29, 13-25) before defeating Jacksonville State (23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22). Senior Brooke Smith led the team with 3.5 kills per set and five service aces over the two matches. Senior Chelsea Colclasure recorded 21 digs versus Tennessee Tech and followed that up with 19 against Jacksonville State. Junior Kelsey Augustine leads the team in points with 311.5 this season. SIUE will close out the regular-season this week as it travels to Eastern Illinois on Wednesday and hosts Tennessee State on Saturday. Both matches can be seen on the OVC Digital Network.
Tennessee State (9-5 OVC; 16-12 overall): Tennessee State defeated non-conference foe Alabama A&M (25-17, 25-18, 25-20) before splitting a pair of OVC matches. The Tigers fell to Morehead State (13-25, 18-25, 25-20, 24-26) and defeated Eastern Kentucky (25-13, 25-23, 22-25, 2-25, 15-6). Sophomore Naomi Wells recorded 47 kills over the three matches, including 20 kills versus Eastern Kentucky. She added 10 digs versus the Colonels for the double-double. Senior Britani Hathorn tallied 48 digs last week, recording 18 each against Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky. Junior Erika Moss dished out 132 assists, including 56 against EKU. She has recorded 30-plus assists in her last 14 matches. Tennessee State will host Belmont on Tuesday and travel to SIUE on Saturday to close out the regular-season. Tennessee Tech (1-13 OVC; 3-23 overall): Tennessee Tech earned its first OVC win of the season as it defeated SIUE (25-23, 24-26, 29-27, 25-13) before falling to Eastern Illinois (23-25, 25-19, 19-25, 20-25). The win over SIUE snapped Tech's 12-match losing streak. Freshman Cody Dodd led the Golden Eagles with a career-best 14 kills and a .500 attack percentage in the win over SIUE. Sophomore Courtney Smith notched a career-high 31 digs against the Cougars, marking her third 30-dig match of the season. She also led all players with 18 digs versus EIU. Junior Ashleigh Hancock dished out 52 assists over the two matches, including a season-high 31 against SIUE. Tennessee Tech will close out the regular-season this week as it travels to Jacksonville State on Tuesday and Southeast Missouri on Saturday. UT Martin (6-8 OVC; 10-18 overall): UT Martin fell to Austin Peay (19-25, 20-25, 12-25) and Murray State (21-25, 25-23, 11-25, 20-25) last week. Senior Kasey Elswick recorded 40 digs over the two matches. She recorded 14 digs versus Austin Peay and followed that up with 26 against Murray State. Emily Keaton led the team with 16 kills last week, including a team-best 11 versus Murray State. Amanda Crask handed out 61 assists last weekend. Dallas Zimmerman recorded six blocks in five sets to lead the UTM defense. She also paced the team with eight kills against Austin Peay. UT Martin will close out the regular-season this week as it hosts Southeast Missouri on Tuesday and Jacksonville State on Saturday.
