MOREHEAD, Ky. – Third-seeded Belmont defeated No. 3 Southeast Missouri in five sets (25-17, 23-25, 25-13, 20-25, 15-10) to advance to the finals of the OVC Championship. The Bruins will play the winner of the Morehead State/Tennessee State match tomorrow.
Four Bruins reached double-digit in kills led by Allison McCoy with a match-high 20. Alex Martin had 16 kills while Jen Meyer 14 kills to go along with 16 digs. Scarlet Gabel also recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs. Jamie Lundstrom led all players with 36 digs while Hannah Miranda dished out a match-best 65 assist to go with 10 digs.
Colleen Yarber led the Redhawks with 18 kills while Berley Idel paced the team with 29 digs. Karlee Lursen added 11 digs and Julie Shives handed out 47 assist to lead the squad.
The Redhawks closed out the season with a 21-13 overall mark.

MOREHEAD, Ky. - Top-seeded Morehead State defeated No. 5 Tennessee State (25-13, 32-30, 25-21) to advance to the finals of the OVC Championship. The Eagles extend its winning streak to 24 staight matches. Morehead State will play Belmont which defeated Southeast Missouri earlier in the day.
Elli Roberson recorded a match-high 20 kills to lead the Eagles. Leslie Schellhaas paced the dense as she led all players with 23 digs while Aryn Bohannon added 10. Caitlin Clark handed out a match-best 37 assists.
The Tigers were led by Naomi Wells with seven kills. Britani Hathorn registered a team-high 21 digs as Erika Moss dished out 23 assists.
Tennessee State finished the year with an 18-14 record.
