MARTIN, Tenn. – Fourth-seeded Southeast Missouri defeated No. 5 Belmont, 1-0, to advance to the Semifinals of the 2012 Ohio Valley Conference Soccer Championship. The Redhawks will play top seed UT Martin on Friday.
 
Sophomore Torey Byrd provided all the offense of the game as she scored the tournament first goal in the 12th minute of the match. It was her sixth goal of the season. Storm French provided the assist on the score, marking her first helper of the year.
 
Junior Katie Proud led the Bruins with two shots.
 
Redhawk senior goalkeeper earned her sixth shutout of the season, making five saves in the match.
 
Junior Nicole Berner made three stops for the Bruins.
 
Belmont finishes the season with 8-9-2 overall mark.

MARTIN, Tenn.  - Sixth-seeded SIUE and No. 3 Eastern Kentucky played to a scoreless tie with the Cougars winning the shootout 5-4 to advance to the seminfinals of the OVC Championship. SIUE will play No. 2 Austin Peay on Friday.

SIUE outshot the Colonels 22-10 in the match, led by Michelle Auer with a match-high seven shots.The Colonels were led by Nikki Donnelly with five shots. 

SIUE goalkeeper Jennifer Pelley made five saves while Eastern Kentucky's Erika Wolfer also made five stops in the match. It was Pelley's ninth shutout of the season while it marked Wolfer's fourth of the year.

Eastern Kentucky finished the season with a 10-7-3 overall record.
