Myer led the Bruins with 37 kills as they went 2-0 last week. She averaged 5.29 kills per set over the two matches. She also recorded five blocks and 18 digs. Myer leads the team with 223 kills so far this season.

Gray had a career-high 10 block assists and a season-high 11 total blocks versus Eastern Kentucky. For the weekend, the Golden Eagles registered 25 blocks with Gray having a hand in 18 of them. She was a part of every Tech block against Morehead State.

2012 Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Team Notes
Austin Peay (7-5 OVC; 14-14 overall): Austin Peay split a pair of road matches last weekend, falling to Belmont (25-22, 21-25, 24-26, 16-25) before defeating Tennessee State (21-25, 25-15, 25-22, 27-25). Senior Nikki Doyle averaged over four kills per set for third straight week. She had 20 kills and a .347 attack percentage at Belmont. It marked her fourth straight 20-kill outing. Doyle needs 19 more kills this year to become the first Austin Peay player to record three 400-kill season during their career. Sophomore Cami Fields recorded 35 assists, 12 digs, two kills and one block at Belmont. She followed that with 47 assists, eight digs, two kills and two service aces. Sophomore Jada Stotts recorded 26 kills during the week. Austin Peay will host UT Martin on Friday and Southeast Missouri on Saturday.
Belmont (6-4 OVC; 12-14 overall): Belmont defeated Austin Peay (22-25, 25-21, 26-24, 25-16) and Murray State (25-16, 25-21, 30-28). Junior Jen Myer led the team with 37 kills last week. Eastern Illinois (5-7 OVC; 8-18 overall): Eastern Illinois fell to Saint Louis (19-25, 25-22, 14-25, 22-25) and UT Martin (22-25, 22-25, 25-20, 22-25) before defeating Southeast Missouri 925-18, 13-25, 20-25, 25-17, 15-10) last week. Junior Reynae Hutchinson led the team with 44.0 points last week, tallying 43 kills. She recorded her 22nd career double-double with 21 kills and a career-best 22 digs in the win at Southeast Missouri. Freshman Marah Bradbury dished out 146 assists over the three matches. In the win over the Redhawks, Bradbury earned her fourth double-double of the season with 55 assists and 12 digs. Eastern Illinois will host IUPUI on Tuesday before traveling to Jacksonville State on Friday and Tennessee Tech on Saturday. Eastern Kentucky (5-7 OVC; 8-15 overall): Eastern Kentucky dropped contests to Northern Kentucky (23-25, 23-25, 13-25) and Jacksonville State (16-25, 15-25, 26-24, 25-19, 13-15) before defeating Tennessee Tech (23-25, 25-18, 26-24, 23-25, 15-12). Against JSU, Alex Plagens and Ashley Edmond each has 15 kills while Kelsey Kuehner had 11. In the win over Tennessee Tech, Edmond led all players with 20 kills while Kuehner added 16 kills, five digs and four blocks. Eastern Kentucky will host Wright State on Wednesday before traveling to Belmont on Friday and Tennessee State on Saturday. Jacksonville State (6-6 OVC; 12-14 overall): Jacksonville State defeated Eastern Kentucky (25-16, 25-15, 24-26, 25-19, 15-13) and fell to Morehead State (24-25, 13-25, 28-26, 25-23, 13-15) last week. Freshman Emily Rutherford recorded back-to-back double-doubles on the weekend. She had 17 kills and 10 digs versus Eastern Kentucky and followed that up with 15 kills and 16 digs versus Murray State. Senior Kelsey Anderson recorded 55 digs over the two matches, including a 30-dig outing against the Eagles. She how has reached double-digit digs in 14 straight matches. Sophomore Alina Agamy recorded a career-high 61 assists versus Eastern Kentucky. She finished the week with 105 assists. Jacksonville State will host Eastern Illinois on Friday and SIUE on Saturday.
Morehead State (12-0 OVC; 19-6 overall): Morehead State extended the nation's longest winning streak to 18 matches with wins over Tennessee Tech (25-19, 25-15, 25-18) and Jacksonville State (25-14, 24-15, 26-28, 23-25, 15-13). The Eagles are now tied with No. 2 Stanford and No. 18 Western Kentucky for the nation's best winning streak. The Morehead State has now won 48 of their last 50 OVC matches since 2010 and have now completed their seventh straight 20-win season campaign. Senior Ellie Roberson averaged 4.12 kills per set last week to pace the Eagles. She leads the OVC in hitting percentage in conference play and registered a .316 attack percentage over the two matches. Senior Annie Gruenschlaeger recorded 1.25 blocks per set and sophomore Laura McDermott hit a team-best .393. Junior Leslie Schellhaas tallied 39 more digs and is just 20 short of the 500-dig mark for the season. Morehead State needs just one more win to clinch at least a share of the regular-season title and the right to host the conference tournament for the third straight season. Morehead State travels to Tennessee State on Friday and Belmont on Saturday. The match with Belmont can be seen on the OVC Digital Network.
Murray State (2-10 OVC; 4-18 overall): Murray State fell to Belmont (15-25, 26-28, 24-26) and Tennessee State 916-25, 21-25, 28-30) last week. The Racers will look to snap a five-match losing streak as it hosts Southeast Missouri on Friday and UT Martin on Saturday.
Southeast Missouri (9-3 OVC; 17-11 overall): Southeast Missouri fell to UMKC (20-25, 19-25, 20-25) before splitting a pair of home OVC matches with SIUE (25-23, 25-23, 25-18) and Eastern Illinois (18-25, 25-23, 25-20, 17-25, 10-15). Senior Brittney Kalinoski recorded 35 kills last week. She recorded 13 kills and 10 digs at UMKC and had 14 kills and 15 digs versus SIUE. Junior Berkely Idel tallied 62 digs on the week, including a 25 versus the Cougars. Junior Julie Shives dished out 99 assists over the three matches. Against EIU, Shives had 41 assists and a season-high 20 digs. Southeast Missouri will travel to Murray State on Friday and Austin Peay on Saturday.
SIUE (4-8 OVC; 8-15 overall): SIUE fell to Southeast Missouri 923-25, 23-25, 18-25) and UT Martin (25-27, 18-25, 25-22, 25-21, 13-15). Freshman Kristen Torre continues to be on pace to break the SIUE's freshman record for hitting percentage (at least 200 kills). She need 24 kills and to keep her .271 hitting percentage to keep above the .250 mark set in 1995. Chelsea Colclasure is second in the OVC with 5.33 digs per set. She is No. 9 on the all-time digs lists with 1,084. Kelsey Augustine raised her blocks per set to 1.09 to rank fourth in the league. SIUE will travel to Tennessee Tech on Friday and Jacksonville State on Saturday. The match with Tennessee Tech can be seen on the OVC Digital Network.
Tennessee State 8-4 OVC; 14-11 overall): Tennessee State defeated Murray State (25-15, 28-26, 26-24) and fell to Austin Peay (25-21, 15-25, 22-25, 25-27). Sophomore Naomi Wells tallied a match-high 16 kills in the win against Murray State and followed that up with 21 kills versus Austin Peay. She has at least tied for the team lead in kills in 19 of the 25 matches this season. Senior Britani Hathorn recorded 12 digs versus Murray State and led all players with 24 digs against Austin Peay. Junior Erika Moss recorded back-to-back 40-plus assists matches last weekend. She dished out 41 against Murray State and had 44 versus Austin Peay.
Tennessee Tech (0-12 OVC; 2-22 overall): Tennessee Tech fell to Morehead State (19-25, 15-25, 18-25) and Eastern Kentucky (25-23, 18-25, 24-26, 25-23, 12-15). Senior Kelsey Gray had a career-high 10 assists and a season-best 11 total blocks against Eastern Kentucky. The Golden Eagles recorded 25 blocks last week and Gray had a hand in 18 of them. Tennessee Tech will look to pick up its first OVC win of the season as it hosts SIUE on Friday and Eastern Illinois on Saturday. Both matches can be seen on the OVC Digital Network.
UT Martin (4-6 OVC; 8-16 overall): UT Martin defeated Eastern Illinois (25-22, 25-22, 20-25, 25-22) and SIUE (27-25, 25-18, 22-25, 21-25, 15-13) last week. Freshman Shelby Hoskins had 24 kills and a .452 hitting percentage over the two matches. She had 14 kills and a .591 attack percentage versus EIU. She didn't commit an attack error until the fourth set against the Panthers. Senior Kasey Elswick registered 14 digs versus EIU and followed that up with her first career double-double, recording 25 digs and 14 assists. Emily Keaton led the team in kills with 29 over the two matches. Against SIUE, Allie Whimpey recorded a season-best 13 kills while Taylor Simmons tied a career-high with 13 digs. Freshman Amanda Crask recorded the programs second ever triple-double in the win over SIUE. She recorded 40 assists to go with career-highs of 15 kills and 17 digs. She finished the week with 84 assists. UT Martin will travel to Austin Peay on Friday and Murray State on Saturday.
