TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Jacksonville State defeated Florida State for the second time in as many days. The Gamecocks used a seven run fourth inning to beat the Seminoles, 10-1, in five innings. JSU will play Alabama on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. CT in a game that can be seen live on ESPN2.
Ashley Eliasson picked up the win for the Gamecocks, allowing just one run while striking out six. Chrissy O’Neal went 2-for-2 with a home run while Alana Hicks hit a pinch-hit two-run homer that ended the game. Niki Prier and Kayla Collins each recorded a pair of RBI.
Michelle Snyder went 2-for-3 to lead Florida State. Melissa May took the loss for the Seminoles, giving up two earned runs and striking out a pair.
