OVC Baseball Tournament Central

The 2008 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament field is now set. The event will be held at Brooks Stadium in Paducah, Ky. for the eighth consecutive season. The tournament gets underway on Wednesday, May 21.

Fans can access live streaming and on-demand video of every tournament game through OVCSports.TV. Fans can purchase the tournament package for $19.95 and have access to every game. Live statistics will also be available for fans.

Jacksonville State, the regular season champions, earned the No. 1 seed while Samford is the No. 2 seed. Both of those teams have earned byes and will start play on Thursday.

Defending champion Austin Peay is the No. 3 seed; the Governors are making their 20th OVC Tournament appearance. Eastern Illinois is the No. 4 seed and is back in the tournament after not making the field a year ago. Tennessee Tech earned the No. 5 seed and is making its first tournament appearance since the 2003 season. Southeast Missouri is the No. 6 seed and is making its 14th consecutive OVC Tournament appearance, which is an OVC record.
