CO-MALE TRACK ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Zye Boey, Sr.,
Decatur, Ill.Eastern Illinois
Boey won both the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash at the Indiana Relays over the weekend. His time of 6.75 in the 60 hit the USATF provisional mark, and his time of 21.07 in the 200 set the Indiana University Gladstein Fieldhouse record.

Soufiane Bouchikhi, Jr., Antwerp, BelgiumEastern Kentucky
Bouchikhi continued his dominance in the 3,000-meter run, winning the event at the Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial Meet with a time of 8.04.00. His mark set a new meet record, and he defeated 44 other competitors, including several runners from SEC schools.

MALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Blake Carter, So., O’Fallon,
Mo.Southeast Missouri

Carter claimed first place in the long jump at the Indiana Relays with a distance of 23’-5.5. He also has the second-best jump in the OVC this season, which he set two weeks ago at the SIU Saluki Open.

FEMALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Kosgei, Sr., Eldoret, KenyaEastern Kentucky

Kosgei once again improved her time in the mile run at the Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial Meet over the weekend, winning the event in 4:45.57. Her time is third-best in EKU history and is currently the 43rd fastest time in the nation.

FEMALE FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Cape Girardeau, Mo.Southeast Missouri
Schnurbusch once again broke her own Southeast Missouri school record in the pole vault at the Indiana Relays with a height of 12’-1.5. This is the third time she has broken the school record this season, and her height is tied for first on the OVC Bests List.
