Get to know Jacksonville State's
Destiny Lane
Destiny is
a senior guard from Ashville,
Ala. She is currently second on the
team in scoring with 11.2 points per game. We asked Destiny a few questions and
below are her answers.
How did you
choose Jacksonville
State?
"I chose my school because it was close to my
family and it gave them an opportunity to be able to watch me play"
Who is your
idol and why?
"My little
brother Evan. No matter what obstacles he has faced in life, he continues to
work to achieve his goals. He has never allowed his disability to get in his
way. With that said, I have learned more from him. No matter the obstacle you
are faced with, always give it your all."
If you
weren't a basketball student-athlete, what sport would you play and why?
"I would play volleyball because I was very
good at the sport and it is a fun and team oriented sport."
What did
you want to be when you were little?
"I wanted to
be a model"
What
professor do you enjoy the most? What class is it and why?
"My Spanish
teacher, Dr. Pacheeo. He has been my professor for all my Spanish classes and
he is the most interesting and funny teacher I know."
What is
your favorite OVC campus to play at (besides your own) and why?
"Tennessee
Tech because Tennessee
is one of my favorite states. I love seeing the mountains and the beautiful views."
