The Raiders picked up the next four points to climb back to within 14-7, but freshman Lindsey Roth tallied two aces and sophomore Ellie Roberson landed a kill to switch the momentum back to the Eagles' side. The third set was a tight battle until the middle when Wyoming used two short runs to take a seven-point advantage.  MSU slowly tried to chip away at the lead and cut the advantage to five (18-23).  The Racers did not go quietly, as they used a late 3-0 run to cut the lead to three (21-24), but Wyoming earned the 21-25 set win.

MSU took an early lead, but the Cowgirls tied the set at two and then never allowed the Racers to get closer than three points the rest of the set.  Wyoming pushed its lead to as many as four points and earned a 20-25 victory.
