Eastern Kentucky: 2009 Ohio Valley Conference Men's & Women's Cross Country Champions

Championship Recap 

2009 will mark the 47th and 30th time respectively, the Ohio Valley Conference will crown a Men's and Women's Cross Country Champion. The event moves from Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Percy Warner Park in Nashville, Tennessee where Tennessee State University will play host to the championship.  2009 will be the third time since 1990 the cross country championship will be held in Nashville. 

The current 8,000 meter record in an OVC men's championship was set in 2000 by Jason Bialka of Eastern Illinois with a time of 24:28.  The 5,000 meter record for the women's championship was set in 1986 by Pam Raglin of Eastern Kentucky while finishing in 16:33.
