Lindy's Picks Two OVC Football Teams in Top 25, Names Three to Preseason All-American Team

Lindy's Sports has predicted Jacksonville State the 11th-best team in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) for 2011 and Southeast Missouri State was No. 16 while also tabbing three players as preseason All-Americans in their annual magazine which was published recently.

The three players named to the preseason All-American team were Jacksonville State senior defensive lineman Monte Lewis, Eastern Kentucky senior defensive back Jeremy Caldwell and Southeast Missouri State offensive lineman Evan Conrad. Lewis and Caldwell were each first-team picks while Conrad was a second-team selection.

In a breakdown of the OVC, Lindy's picked Jacksonville State as the favorite to win the OVC Championship this season. The Gamecocks were followed by Southeast Missouri, Murray State, Eastern Kentucky, UT Martin, Eastern Illinois, Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay and Tennessee State.

The prediction went on to top Southeast Missouri quarterback Matt Scheible as the top Offensive Player in the league and Caldwell as the top defensive player.

The OVC will announce its official predicted order of finish preseason poll and preseason All-OVC teams on Monday, July 25 as part of its annual Media Day festivities.
